Humanities Gods and Goddesses
Today we had a cocktail party. It is when all the gods meet together and drink cocktail. Or course we didn’t drink that but instead we drank juice. It was really fun. Each person had to bring in something and we shared the healthy snacks and drinks while learning about other gods. I was Bastet Goddess of the House Cat. I like this way of learning and I think we should do it more often
Osiris:
I learned that Osiris is green and is the God of the Underworld. He is responsible for taking care of the dead. His is Isis and father of Horus.
Ra:
Ra is my father and he is the Sun God and the King of the Gods. I found out today that his Mythology is the same as mine!
Nephthys:
Nyphtus is the Goddess of Mourning. She cheated on Osiris and Seth.
Ma’at:
Wife of Toth Ma’at is Goddess of Justice. Her symbol is ostrich feather in her hair.
Nut:
Nut is the Sky Goddess and is the parent of Osiris and Seth. She wears blue with stars on it.
MY HORRIBLE DAY
OKAY. THIS JUST HAPPENED 2 HOURS AGO. I ADDED ‘JUST’ BECAUSE IT ‘JUST’ ENDED. LET ME START HERE:
*I here by promise not to exaggerate any part of the non-fiction story*
I had a WONDERFUL day today. Went to Cindy’s house in Puxi with Kyung Min and Victoria! We took tons of pictures and had tons of fun. Then we had to go. I went to eat with Kyung Min at a Hot Pot and it was delicious. Sounds like a great day so far. I was… Until… *THIS*
Kyung Min’s driver sent me to my home and I ringed my apartment for my mom to open the gate door. Unfortunately, no one was home and they were all outside eating. I was standing there with my bad that contained: My mac, Phone that had COMPLETELY NO battery, and my mac charger. I really needed to pee. So I waited for about 5 minutes and hoped they would come anytime now. They didn’t. I stood there waiting for about another 5 minutes until something else started. NOSE BLEED. Not just any though. A big one. Sure, it wasn’t the world’s biggest nose bleed but it was MY biggest nose bleed. I didn’t have anything useful for this and blood was gushing out and dripping off non-stopping. I held my nose shut hoping it would stop but after holding it a long time, I let go and yet there was no difference.
I just remembered there was a way to get home underground. At that thought, I ran downstairs and waited for the elevator. Hoping no one to see my bloody hands and face. I got home and it was pitch black in there. The curtains were open, and if I turned on the lights, anyone could see me so I shut the living room curtains and then dashed to the closest sink and tissue, ‘the kitchen’. I took a tissue and held it to my nose and got a cube of ice because the holding my nose didn’t work. One hand holding the ice to the nose and the other hand putting tissue under my nose so no blood will drip. My right hand which was holding the ice was freezing. I wanted to finish shutting the curtains so I walked to my sister’s room until something made me scream. A huge black cockroach. The creepy crawlers. “OH THAT’S JUST GREAT” I thought. Me with dried blood still stained on my hands and face with both hands occupied trying to stop my nose bleed and I needed to pee. Trouble Much?
HAHA! I’m not going to finish this yet. I will next week though. What would you do?
Science: Combined Graph
I am not sure if you have to have 2 graphs or both data’s in one graph. Here is my graph with both the data.
The White arrow in the middle divides the 2 data parts. The first left part is the Speedster and the right part is the Limmo. I didn’t know how to cut it so that’s why I added the arrow. I hope it doesn’t confuse you too much.
Mouse Trap Cars
Line Graph for Limmo

Above, you can see a line graph I made on Exel for my Limmo Mouse trap car. The LEGEND on the right tells you that blue is distance (m), red is time (s) and green is the speed. I made two Y axis because for the distance and speed, as you can see the number difference is too big. If I just had one Y axis, then the green speed line would look like just a straight line. So I made it more detailed by adding another Y axis on the right with the smaller numbers that were suitable for the speed. Now you can clearly see the difference between everything.
Line Graph for Speedster
Here is my line graph for my other mouse trap car, Speedster. I didn’t have to add another Y axis to this graph like I did to the previous one because all the numbers here were small and I thought it was detailed enough on the graph. You can see the difference clearly.
Up and Down

1. Describe the dream house project. 5 points
In this project we had to think of a dream house and draw it in 1 point perspective. In the dream house, you had to use straight lines and had to have at least 5 specialties. After this, we colored the house with a monochromatic color with different values on each face. Then the last step is to draw and color your final with one media on a big sheet of paper. I used chalk for mine.
2. What was the inspiration behind your dream house design? 5 points
I like the big difference between heights so I made my house up and down. I also made my vanishing point below the line because that is more unique then above. I put in a sunroom, bumper cars arena, basketball court and a performing arts theater because of the love of them.
3. If you could build your dream house anywhere in world, where would you build it? Why? 5 points
I have not been around the world so I am not sure about where I want my house to be. I know I want it to be in a place with the bright shining sun, good weather and good community. It would be nice to also have a convenient store close by so I can just walk there and buy my snack and items I need.
Question of the Week
Haha I’m going to copy a lot of people and have a Question of the Week! SO here it is:
What is my favorite color and my favorite number.
If you win, you’ll get candy? LOL you tell me what you want if you win.
Ramose Assessment
The royal prince Ramose has cheated death from his evil stepmother
He now hides as a scribe, in the Great Palace working on a tomb and doing tedious jobs
Emerging from the sky above, a flood, a storm, in the desert
Hapu saved by a crevice, Ramose and Karoya was the few out of the 6 out of 18 that lived, and the tomb of his father is now destroyed
Illness had come to pharaoh and yet he has no tomb
Dainty little cat of chief, now belonged to slave girl Karoya
Demanded by vizier to move to Tombos for a new project, Ramose refused and decided to go to Memphis
Eager to get the right throne of Pharaoh Ramose sneaks out at dawn for the boat ride to Memphis
No way did he get away with out his friend Hapu and Karoya so along they went too
Pondering on how to get on the boat because they were children, they made up a story that they were on a mission
Heading to Memphis on the Nile, they face many challenges. Food supply and the cat. Ramose upsets the captain because he asked for 20 more Deben of copper, so he left them at Hardai
Approaching from the Nile comes a boat to Memphis! They meet three scornful people called Intef, Seth and Hori
Ramose got kidnapped by Hori’s group one night, to help get the lavished amount of treasures from Senresut’s tomb. Ramose winced when they broke in
After robbing that tomb, they find a tomb of a princess underground and rob that one. They grimly leave Hapu and Ramose there for them to die slowly
One of the passages must lead to somewhere they thought. Almost sniveling, Ramose and Hapu sat a place to rest when Ramose felt an animal with fishy smelling fur
He and Hapu follow the animal and it turns out to be Karoya’s cat! They keep following and see light, and meet Karoya at the end of the passage out. When they got out, the Egyptians thought they robbed the tombs so they captured Ramose and got everything he had including his amulet because they thought he stole it.
Reflecting on Mummification
Summarize:
When an important person died in Egypt, they got mummified before getting buried. There were many steps to do as you can see in my previous post.
Reflection:
I have learned how and why the Egyptians mummified people. It is very interesting and knowledgeable. If they didn’t mummify these people, we would know little of the Ancient Egyptians and how they lived.
Egyptian Mummification
Embalming 5 Steps:
1. The dead body is taken to a tent known as ‘Ibu’ or place of purification. Then, the embalmers there wash his body with good-smelling palm wine and rinse it with water from the Nile.
2. One of the embalmers make a cut in the left side of the body and removes many of the internal organs. It was important to do this because they are the first part of the body to decompose. The organs taken out would be places in canopic jars with natron in them for them to dry out! The heart is not taken out because the egyptians believed that it was the centre of intelligence and feeling and the man will need it in the after life.
3. The body is now covered in natron and stuffed with natron to dry it out. This way the body will not rot. All of the fluids, and rags from the embalming process will be saved and buried along with the body.
4. After 40 days the body is washed in the Nile again. Then it is covered with oils to help the skin stay elastic.
5. The dehydrated internal organs are wrapped in linen and returned to the body. The body is stuffed with dry materials such as sawdust, leaves and linen so that it looks lifelike. Finally the body is covered again with good-smelling oils. It is now ready to be wrapped in linen.
