The House Wanna Be

Posted on May 15th, 2010 in SLC by rachel01pd2016

dream house

The dream house project was really fun. I went through a lot of steps to finish it, but it was all worth it. The reason I chose green was acually because it was the only color that I liked in different shades. My dream house is just my dream house not the real house I am going to get in the future, but still can’t a girl dream.

My inspiration around my dream house design was I have this thing with normal straight line and shapes and that’s how I wanted to do it. I chose yellow as my ground because I love sand. I have this trampoline on the side of my house because it shows that I am always bouncing around. The huge door is because I like big houses and why not a big door it’s unique.

If I could build my dream house anywhere in the world it would be on the beach. I love the beach, because the sand is so soft and warm, and I love the smell of the salt water. I am great at building sand castles!

Amon King of all Gods

Posted on April 29th, 2010 in SLC by rachel01pd2016

Hey! Were doing this project on ancient Egypt and we had to be gods and I got Amon and here are facts about him.

Amon King of all Gods.

He is very wealthy and popular.

His wife was mother-goddess Mut and his son is the moon, Khonsu.

His name meant “What is hidden”

His symbols were ram, goose and bull.

He can change figures as a human, frog head, cobra, ape, as a lion crouching upon a pedestal.

“While Amon was worshipped to some degree throughout the Egyptian nation, his popularity, or cult, seemed to have reached frenzied proportions in two particular cities. He was considered to be the patron saint of the city of Thebes, where the ruling pharaoh and his royal family resided. Here he became joined with the sun god Re and the two became known as the Egypt god Amon-Re. He was also very popular in Hermopolis, where he was believed to be married to Mut. The couple gave birth to a son named Khonsu, who was associated with the moon. Throughout some parts of Egypt it was believed that Amon was at least partially responsible for creation. Many popular beliefs regarding Amon included his protection of the weak.”

The Secret Prince Ramose Acrostic Poem

Posted on April 27th, 2010 in SLC by rachel01pd2016

The tedious days as a scribe.

He is a prince in disguise. He had to fake his death.

Emerging as a scribe tricking everyone for his safety.

Soon he will go back to his father and take his rightful prince as Pharoh. There came a huge flood where Ramose and Hapu his friend were working.

Everyone was injured in the flood; some even died.

Caused by the flood the surviving workers had to go work on a new temple.

Ramose went on a boat with his friends to Memphis to see his dying father ready to take his place.

Empty handed with no money the boat driver kicked them off.

They found men that were sailing a boat and they offered to take Ramose, Hapu and Karoya to Memphis.

Pretending they were nice it turns out the mean were really tomb robbers.

Ramose was kidnapped by the scornful men and was forced to go in a tomb and find gold and amulets.

Inside the pyramid was a creviced part to get in and out of the pyramid.

Now with the tomb robbers he was not in a safe position.

Coming along with Ramose and the tomb robbers is Hapu who was caught looking for Ramose.

Everything was going wrong. Seth was crushed by a pill of rocks and Ramose and Hapu were gouging the rocks off him but they were not strong enough.

Ramose and Hapu were trapped in the pyramid because the tomb robbers left them there to die.

A cat found them wincing in pain in the pyramid.

Mery the cat was trying to show Ramose where to go.

Only they couldn’t see because it was so dark so the tied a string to Mery.

Soon Karoya found them and gave them water and food.

Everyone’s better and now they are off to find his father.
