Banksy

Banksy is a well known graffiti artist. He uses graffiti as a way to express the way he thinks. Banksy ties in irony with global issues like poverty, disease and war. His work style includes stencils and even free hand graffiti. His work is considered to be vandalism in some places. But to other people, his work means something expressive and true.

My global issue was poverty. I used the symbol of money burning to represent the poverty. The person that was burning it showed the irony because he did not have money but he burned it to stay warm.

There are people that don’t have enough money to afford food, shelter and other things. We need to help them by showing support and donating money. So that they can have a better living. My artwork is supposed to express the way people shouldn’t be like.
