1.The dream house project is basically where me and all my classmates had to design our dream house using one point perspective. Thats not all though we also had to add features to our dream house not including widows and doors, but things that we would never regularly add to our own homes.

2. Okay, well since my mom is trying to get a masters degree in interior design she buy lots of architecture magazines and there I see these amazing houses. One thing I noticed was that a lot of the modern houses were shaped like rectangular prisms or cubes. Thats why I made my dream house look like two rectangular prisms connected by a sky bridge.

3.If I were to build my dream house anywhere in the world then I would build it in Mill Valley, California, because that is where I’ve lived a lot of my life and it almost is always sunny and the weather is really nice there. Also its because I have friends there that have been my friends ever since 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade

Gathering of the Gods Reflection/Notes to Those I Met

Gathering of the Gods Reflection

Well today me and my classmates got to do something called the gathering of the gods which is a cocktail party where we dressed up as an Egyptian god. Basically what we did was that we where assigned different gods, and when we where assigned our gods we where suppose to gather info about our gods and creat a costume. You might ask why we had to reasearh when you just have to appear at a cocktail party dressed up as your god? Well it not really that simple, because we also had to mingle around telling people about our god. Ireally suggest you to uggest this idea to your teacher because it was really fun and I larned lots.

Notes to Those I Met

  • Osiris, So sorry to hear that you got chopped up into pieces and got scattered all over the world.
  • Seth why did you chopped up Osiris and also poke out Horus’s eye.
  • Horus so sad to hear about your eye, get well soon.
  • Anubis great to here about how well its going in the embalming business, catch you later.
  • Basalet, hows it going with all your cats hope its going well, see you soon.

My experience at the wet market

The first thing you need to expect is that you can’t expect that the wet market you are going to is going to be clean. Another thing I notice was that it was very wet and I think that, that is partly why it is called the wet market. The other reason I think it’s called the wet market is because of all fruits and veggies there are at the wet market and somehow I think that there is a big relationship between water and fruit and veggies. A good thing about the wet market though is that everything there is fresh and everything sells at o.k. prices as Mrs.Chen said.

Ramose Acrostic

Ramose a to be pharaoh.

After almost being killed. He

Moved to tombos where he would work tediously.

On a fine day Ramose saw the fury of the gods gouge through the desert.

Some died.

Everyone else lived

After almost losing his life, his best friend (which he saved by pushing into a crevice), and his amulet he was sent with the other surviors to work on a second tomb for Romose’s father.

Far away from Tombos now and in Thebes and is trying to find a boat that will carry him all the way to Mephis

Usually he would go by himself but was forced by friends to take them with him.

To Memphis he was going.

Until he got ripped off by the captain

Ready to give up now, but luckly someone was kind enough to give them a ride on a boat that was more lavish than the other.

Everyone was happy now, until one day Hori and his employees moored early one day with grimly smiles on their faces.

Prior to the time he’ll be seeing his father again Ramose gets kidnapped.

Having been a apprentice scribe for so long now the tomb robbers (Hori and his employees) thought Ramose could help them find the entrance to the tomb of the pharaoh senusret.

After robbing everything there was to rob and

Right after Seth’s death Hapu and Ramose are locked in the tomb.

After a while they find a way out thanks to Mery Karoya’s cat.

Of all the things they’ve been through the worst is yet to come and that comes right now. The problem is that when they get to the village outside the pyramid a little boy saw them go to the pyramid so they get accused of tomb robbing and Ramose also sees his father sail right by him.

Having seen his father now Ramose is happy and will keep on following his father

Mousetrap Car Reflection

1.    What are the main changes I need to make (be specific and use terms such as rear/front axle, Kevlar string, wooden side rails, friction, etc) in order to maximize the distance that my car will travel in a straight line?

Well to make my car go straighter I think that I could stabilize the wheel because right now the wheels wiggle as the car is moving this will also effect the speed of my car and if my car go faster then my car will go farther.

2.Why is working with my partner important in making sure that our car will perform to its best capabilities? How is this done?

Working with a partner is important because some of the steps in making the car required for partner work or it was just easier to do the step with a partner

3.What details will we need to be careful of in making our next car (little Mo!) this week?

We definitely need to be careful with aligning everything carefully and making sure nothing is loose

4.Were there any details in the Instruction Guide that were left out when you were building your cars?  (in other words, could you have built your car by reading and following the instructions completely?) Explain.

No because an instruction booklet shouldn’t have anything left out.

Memorial poem for Hatshepsut

Hatshepsut was her name.

And ruling was her game.

Even though she was the first.

She definatly wasn’t the worst.

She shared power for a while.

And built a temple upon the Nile.

She traveled to the kingdom of Punt.

Where she commited a huge stunt.

Sometime she even said that her father was a god.

And some people said that was odd.

She rule for a while.

Until she could see the nile.

And when she died.

Every one cried.

Dar Essay-News Article

In the novel, Dar and the Spear-Thrower, A young Cro-magnon boy named Dar embarks on a dangerous journey. Throughout the journey, Dar learns and understands what it means to be a man. Three events illustrate his growing maturity and sense of responsibility to his clan. This includes when he climbs up the steep cliff there’s. There’s also when he is on his journey, and when he rejected Seelan’s invitation for him to join his clan. These are three examples of him showing growing maturity and sense of responsibility to his clan. There are the three things that today’s article will include about Dar and the Spear-Thrower.

One event that shows Dar’s growing sense of maturity is when he receives the task from his grandmother Mora to get a flower. So that when Dar get the flower for Mora, Mora can make a salve so she could save Dar’s uncle Kenok. At first he is afraid of heights but when he knows that his uncle is wounded, he decides that he shouldn’t care only about himself and tries to get the flowers again. This time he succeeds. He also became more mature because he it shows that he cares more about others than about himself. He showed that he was mature by getting the flowers because if he hadn’t gotten the flower they could’ve lost Kenok so their hunting wouldn’t be an option for Dar’s clan.

An example of Dar’s growing sense of responsibility is the time in the novel Dar is on his nerve-racking journey. Dar on this journey because he met this foreigner (in his perspective) that had had this amazing hunting tool, that the foreigner willing to trade this weapon for Dar’s sunstone. Dar rejected the trade until he understood what he could do with this weapon and how he could amaze Kenok and be the best hunter in his clan. That’s how the whole journey began. Why Dar’s journey shows that he is gaining a sense of responsibility. One reason why this shows that Dar is becoming more responsible by the minute is that he can now decide things on his own because being able to make your own decisions is really important step in becoming more responsible. Number two he showed lots of responsibility when he had to take care of himself on his journey.

Most importantly the event that shows that Dar feels responsible for his clan is when he rejects the invitation from Seelan “His long lost grandfather” to join his clan. This is a great example because if he did accept the invitation his clan would lose important help and a hunter that could help his clan. Another important thing about why he declined Seelan’s invitation was because he wanted his son/sons to carry the same manmark as Dar did and that is very respectful to his clan. The third reason I think he shows responsibility to his clan is because if Dar had stayed at Seelan’s clan then he would never have had brought back the spear thrower and would never had made hunting safer for his clan. Don’t you think that Dar made a good choice?

In conclusion, the challenges that Dar faced helped him with a lot of things in life. It helped him become more mature than he was before. It also helped him become a lot more responsible and most importantly it helped realize exactly how important his clan was to him. Hope this gave you more of an inside on the novel of Dar and the Spear-thrower, enjoy.

Dar Essay Reflection

Organization ~According to the rubric I think that I did very well in organizing my whole essay into five different paragraphs. I think that I also did an excellent job in conveying the main idea of this whole essay or in conveying the main idea of the paragraph at least. Another thing that fit into to this section is that I did a good job in making a topic and a conclusion for every paragraph.

Ideas ~ Also according to the rubric I did very well in giving supporting detail that supported the paragraph’s and the essay’s main idea.

Word Choice ~ This is one of the things that I also personally think that I have improved on a lot on in the course of this year. In this part of the rubric I did the best I think because I had lots of vivid verbs, amazing adjectives, specific nouns, and sensory words that projected a clear image in my head of what was happening.

Sentence fluency ~ This, I think was the worst part of my rubric because had fragment and run-ons. Plus only most of my sentences are grammatical and easy to read out loud and I should’ve added more transitions, but I had a very varied structure that invites expressive oral reading.

Conventions ~In this section I did also sort of bad because I had some capitalization errors and grammar errors, but I did well in indenting my paragraphs.

Writing process ~ In this section I also did very well in taking each step carefully and effectively and the revisions were substantial.
