Science has made me think outside of the box. One thing I learned from science is that labs are the most important thing. Labs are made so that if someone wants to copy your experiment and make sure your not bluffing then that would be one reason. Another could be most lab reports are huge chunk of your grade in school so its good to go over the rubric while your at home checking if everything matches what you need to do. Most important of lab experiment is that you should have when doing most of them.
Something new that I learnt in science that I think will help me later in life is that you shouldn’t always copy word for word because it will take you long to get the notes although you might understand easier. Its better to take what was on the powerpoint or keynote and change them into your own words so that you can understand your self much easier. Meanwhile you have a lot of time to read over.
Last thing that I learned was that the human body is more complicated then I originally thought it was. There are at least over 10 different body systems and they all end up relating to each other in one way or another. Each body system has different names, different organs(sometimes the same). The human body is probably really hard to figure out if to figure out if you were from outer space.

Describe your overall work and progress in Chinese this year.
I’ve tried my best this year and I am starting to improve my grade.
What have been your greatest strengths in learning Chinese? What are you proud of?
I think learning to write characters was my best strength in chinese. I’m proud of most of my test because they are over a 90%.
What have been your biggest challenges in learning Chinese? What areas do you think you need to improve on for next year? What strategies you can use?
Learning where to use the characters and how to use them properly. I think I should review more after we have learnt a lesson and moving on to new lessons.
What are examples of your work in Chinese this year that you think reflect your progress and demonstrate your growth in this class? Give and explain 1-3 examples.
I think most of my test would show that I have done better until the end of the year since summer is almost here. One would be my student workbook another would be my test. The last one would have to be my project since I’ve learnt more characters then i used to know.

Window to the soul is a project in class that is supposed to express ourselves. To create symbols that describe you and no one else. So that people will have to think about where the symbols are. There was a whole process that in the beginning to think about 6 different things that make you different and put them into a symbol. After that you would have to draw them and, then plan out how you are going to arrange you symbols in the way you will arrange them. Get a large piece of watercolor paper and draw patterns in background that you want to stand out then draw the symbols and where you would like to place them.
My symbols represent my love for music, sports, family and friends. Most of my life as a child I have either been singing or dancing just to have fun. Singing and dancing are things that help me pass the time. While sports is something that help me keep active and have a lot of fun.On of my symbols for music are my favorite rappers and singers. My favorite sports would be basketball, soccer and, rugby. For friends it shows my friends at school and how many friends I have outside of my group. I think the most fun part of this project was probably making the symbols since we got to be creative. Even though we may recycle some symbols they changed to be something totally different. If I had to chose the most difficult part i would have to be the painting with watercolor because it wouldn’t come out the color you imagined it would in your mind. Thats because its really hard to use watercolor paint instead of acrylic paint.

This work reflects my passion for all sort of different things. My passion for music, my love for sports, my family, and friendship. There are at least 3 symbols that show my love for music. My favorite thing to do is sing and dance. When i sing its mostly for fun. I only sing when I love to listen to the song. Basically music is the only thing that is able to make me happy when I’m with my friends. Thats why the friendship symbol is close to my music symbol. My friends are a big impact in my life. So I always try to make the closest friend I could. Singing is another thing i admire that is something I do in the music industry. While dancing is something I do if I would like to express myself.
I used material such as spray paint, hot glue gun, and Foamcore board. I combined these symbols because they show unity and how they all get along with each other. They all relate to each other in a way or a different way. I chose to arrange these symbols in a way it shows how one connects to one and that one connect to the other one. So basically they all revolve in circle when you check. These symbols represent my love for sports, music, family, and friends. Mostly music, family, and friends are the most important thing to me in my life. While sports is my favorite sports like basketball and rugby.
In creating this sculpture, I found that you want to put you blade at a certain angle if you want it to come out the way you chose it to be. Another tip would be to press hard but not to hard. Other wise a bit of the foam cord get attached your symbol. I feel that my work could have been better because I didn’t really plan out very well. In class I thought we didn’t have enough time although some people were finished.I discovered that things come out better if you were to plan them out instead of just immediately cutting.
Thanks
