This week just felt really slow. Does that ever happen to you? Last Sunday, I groaned when I imagined another whole week of school, sports, homework, and tiring things. More than groaned, actually. I almost screamed. Just when I felt relieved that I made it through a whole week, there’s another week in front of me. This week is going so slow, and … Is it only Tuesday? This just isn’t the best week ever.
Tomorrow is the Sharing Lunch for 5th graders. We have to bring in a dish from our home country and share it for lunch. I’m making my dish later, after I finish writing. Not telling you what it is!
It’s from Hong Kong, though. It’s also the math test tomorrow, which I’m sort of dreading, because I never got a 100 % math test yet in 5th grade… Sigh. Guess I’ll just have to work hard and check it over carefully. This unit in math is about dividing, those number problem things, and… that’s about it. In Chinese class, we have to present our posters, and since I’m not exactly the best at speaking to the audience, I’m really nervous about that. There’s also going to be our last literature circle tomorrow, and then at Beyonda Box on Thursday, we’re going to get in the same groups again. It’s going to be a long day tomorrow, but I know it’s also going to be fun! (Except for the math test and Chinese presentation.)
On Thursday, which seems like such a long time till then, nothing much is planned, except for school and homework. In school that day, we have Beyonda Box! Yay! What else is there on Thursday? Hmmm… let me think. Nothing much. At home I have a Chinese tutor, then lots of homework, probably. (Surprisingly, I’m okay with homework now, I don’t dislike it as much as I used to) Our usual homework is reading for 30 minutes, writing for 20 minutes, and usually something to do with math. Oh, and spelling, but I don’t need to do that. Chinese homework is normally a worksheet or something. Oh no… I just remembered that it’s P.E on Thursday. I’m not exactly the sportiest girl around, ask anyone, and jumping rope, running, and climbing, are the least of my strengths. My muscles still hurt from all the exercise last week, in school, and out of school! I just think that it’s unfair that we already get exercise at school, then after school, I still have to play tennis (sometimes) or go swimming (on Fridays, Fridays are supposed to be relaxed, right?????) . Getting off topic, but that’s it for Thursday.
Friday. My favorite day of the week, except for the hour where I have to go swimming. (I HATE SWIMMING!!!!!!!) I just feel relaxed on Fridays, because there’s two whole days with no school! It was more relaxed last year, because we never got homework on Fridays. Well, just some Chinese. (One of the bad things about 5th grade, we always have homework. Every single day of the week. ) It’s frustrating to have homework on a day where it’s supposed to be relaxed. Okay, I don’t mind it that much, but still! Friday is usually just a quiet day for me, unless I have friends over or something. OH!!!! I just remembered that there’s no school on Friday!!!! YAY!!! Such a good end to a slow week! I can finally sleep in, eat slower, and not rush out into the frosty morning air when I just woke up. I’m feeling less and less tense every minute just thinking about that! Relaxation is a really good feeling. Friday just saved me a week of sulking about how long it’s taking.

You make your day sound even more hectic than mine. Lol. Hope you have fun in the next Beyonda Box and good luck on the math test! Last year, we didn’t have a Beyonda Box in November since our Thanksgiving Feast was our Beyonda Box…

Josh seems to have the same habits that I do… I often get up at 6 in the morning just to study or finish off some bit of homework since I slacked off last night! =P Uh… Just hoping Mom doesn’t read this…

Now I remember what the Beyonda Box was… It was the skit thing with our LC group… Ours was so messed up… The Indians stole the gun from the captain, and we kept sending message to different people of the group and then Dominic finally took the “rifle” and shot down the “Indians” and got the pistol back… Very messed up.
Anyway,
I feel so happy that this week’s a short week… Extra long weekend. More time to do homework. More time to annoy older brother. More time to blog and chat and go on email and etc.
I’m happy. =D

That’s what we did too, and I was first a fly who got swatted, a dead deer, and then a Native America made-up god who was called Osaka and got honored and everything. I had to shout, ” YOU MUST LEARN TO RESPECT THE GOD OF THE NEW WORLD, OSAKA!!!” It was really fun, and my group made it to the finals.
We performed in front of the whole fifth grade in the LMC.

My group didn’t make it… It was too messed up. =P Although, no offense to the other team, there was even more messed up than ours, but there was one much more clearer than ours.
What book did you do?
