Today was the last performance for the 4th and 5th graders and the parents. We were OK…. not as good as normal practices though. I think it’s because during normal practices, there aren’t three hundred people staring at you. :P

Again, after lunch we headed over to the PAC to get our costumes and make up done and ready. I hurried backstage, grabbing my hand towel from the prop box on the way. All the girls went to the green room (our dressing room that had no green things inside except for some of the costumes whatsoever) and got our costumes down from where they were hanging. We all dumped our jackets and bags down somewhere (Candice and I took two of the blue couches at the end of the room with lots of mirrors) and was just about to change when someone who wasn’t a girl walked in. It was so weird.

When the doors were shut and everyone was in their dressing rooms, we changed into our costumes, slipped on our shoes, and everything. I had to put on my head thing, which I didn’t like wearing and took ages to put on properly with the red band in the front showing. If it wasn’t showing, the cloth wouldn’t look right. So anyway, it took ages to put on.

The make up people came from high school and our dressing room was set up as the make up room again. Again, I had to wait for ten to fifteen minutes before it was my turn for make up, but it was just fine with me cause I stared at people getting their make up done for no particular reason.

After my make up was done, I checked my costume one more time and fixed my headband thing one more time, I took my prop towel out and draped it on my arm. Hurrying with the rest of the cast around the back doors and quietly waiting just inside the theatre doors didn’t give me enough time to panic full time, but once I was backstage, I started going all weird and crazy. First, I was panicking and telling myself to breathe, the next minute, I was whacking people with my towel. Third, I was pulling people up and whisper yelling stuff like “OMG I don’t wanna sing!!!! AHHHH!!!!” And everything.

Then it was suddenly my turn to sing and my throat got all dry. I walked on stage with Sanjana and sang and everything, but I’m pretty sure we weren’t loud enough. Not my fault. I guess Sanjana was more nervous than I was because she barely sung at all. But whatever. At least it was over.

When I was offstage, I sat in front of the T.V backstage showing the stage from the outside live for a couple of minutes, then started talking with Candice really quiet.

Everyone grabbed their red lanterns and waited for the music que to go out. Meng Yen went out early, but he was the gongkeeper, so I guess it didn’t matter.

We sang, Cassandra danced as the nightingale, we all cheered, and went offstage. I was gonna be offstage for a while, so I put down my towel and started doing other stuff that I don’t remember now. Well, I did chat with Candice more.

And then when the emperor was dying, Sanjana and I went on stage with our towels, spoke a few lines, then left. Backstage, when the VOPs were dancing out on stage, Katie, Sanjana, some other people, Mr. Desmond, Mr. Young, and I were all dancing either the same routine or just random stuff. It was fun. :P

Then we sang another song and bowed, the photographer took some pics and the parents took some pics. Changed back, and went downstairs for soda. I got seven cups or something. Or was it six? I was SUPER THIRSTY AND THE SODA TASTED REALLY REFRESHING.

Hope you enjoyed the show if you were there! :P

Today was the sorta dress rehearsal for the musical. It was OKAY…. not as good as practices. Probably cause there were a lot of eyes staring at us. Nobody would sing loudly in a group so that it was pretty quiet… but at least we could still be heard.

Anyway, today after lunch, all the drama students hurried over to the PAC, where Mr. Falck talked to us for a bit then, then let us into the dressing rooms. The boy’s dressing rooms were upstairs. The girls got what they call the green room, even though there isn’t a single thing inside that’s green except for a few of the costumes. It had huge mirrors surronded by lights, two bathrooms, some couches and sofas, and chairs. The girls got the bigger dressing room, natrually.

I personally don’t like my costume. I mean, it’s okay, but it’s not ”Michelle style” . It consists of one of those Chinese outfits. White with red buttons and neckline. And matching white pants that are a bit short.  Black soft soled shoes, identical to everyone elses, and this totally weird hat/headband with a red shiny cloth hanging down from it. You’ll know when you see it. Don’t laugh, I didn’t choose it. It doesn’t look like modern nurses, but I guess in Ancient China they didn’t have any fashion sense.

After all the girls had their costumes on, the make up artists from high school came over, and the boys came down from upstairs. So basically, our dressing room was a dressing room/make up room. The thing I don’t like about it is that they always but really bright colors and outline a lot of stuff really thick so that you don’t look like yourself. But this year, my make up was pretty good. Not that bright, still really good, not too much eyeliner, the perfect amount of blush, this weird face poweder was ok, and the lipstick color was pretty good. Actually, it was a mixture of dark pink, light pink, and light red. Lots of the other people’s make up was just like…. overpowering. Some people had really pale faces and super bright red lipstick that was sorta scary. Some had way too much blush and super thick eyebrows due to eyeliner (like Cecilia, no offence) and some I don’t know why but they just didn’t look right. I mean, like Melissa, she looked like a Chinese person and looked pretty good, but I don’t know, she looked weird.

When the music started, everyone started walking up to the stage and singing, but not really loud. I guess everyone was nervous. After that song, we hurried backstage. The next song, I had to sing with Sanjana as the two nurses, but I couldn’t sing as well as before. Because I had a sore throat. UGH  >_<

The musical carried on pretty good, then we sang “In China” , carrying red lanterns, Cassandra (nightingale) danced and twirled, everyone sang, and blah blah blah. Advice to people, bring something to sheil your eyes if you’regoing o the musical, because the strobe lights that flash when the VOPs dance are really strong. Well, then again, you can’t see the VOPs dance….. Huh… Whatever. But they’re really good.

Sanjana and I have to take care of the dying emperor, and everything, speak a few lines, bow, then leave. The emperor gets better, we sing and rejoice, musical’s over, we bow.

It’s actually pretty fun. :) Wait, here’s a picture of what an actual Chinese nightingale looks like:

On Friday, I went to a sleepover at Frances’ house with Andrea and Amelia. It was fun.

I had to go to drama rehearsal after school, and Andrea had to go swimming, so Frances went home with Amelia first and came back at four fifteen to pick Andrea and I up in her car. THEY WERE TEN MINUTES LATE. :(

When we first go there Frances’ tiny dog Coco started yapping and jumping on everyone’s legs. She (Frances specifically told us not to sya “it”) ’s a Yorkshire Terrier, and they’re tiny, adorable, have huge eyes, and super long fur. Plus flappy ears that stick up when she’s listening to something. And tiny legs that scamper around furiously when she’s running. :P

The really weird and awkward thing about Coco was that she got too excited and pooped on the bathroom rug. It was so weird. :?

After we had all put our stuff in France’s room, we just sort of did nothing for a while.

So we made up this skit thing. Andrea was the director and wrote the basic outline of the script. Frances, Amelia, and I were the characters in the skit. It’s the typical kind of skit where this new girl goes to this new school where the popular crowd doesn’t accept her and everything. After we had rehearsed a couple of times, we used Frances’ Macbook Pro to videotape it on Photo Booth. We WERE going to use Frances’ camera, but she didn’t charge it and it was all out of battery. So that taught her a lesson: Always keep your camera fully charged AT ALL TIMES!!!

Characters:

Abigail (southern girl-the newbie) -Amelia

Natalie (leader of the “popular fashion group” or something like that- Me. I dunno why, but I’m good at acting as the mean, girly, fashionable, doesn’t accept newbies kind of people.

Chloe (part of the “popular fashion group” – Frances

And Andrea was the director who constantly yelled “CUT” or “ACTION” which was sort of weird.

Finding good clothes to fit the part was sort of hard. Well, not for me, but for Frances. Amelia was easy, because she was wearing this flowered ish dress that looked good for a southern girl. She only had to switch her jeans to tights and get a headband, and that was all. I was wearing this black shirt and a short aqua blue jacket, so I only had to trade my pants to my skinny jeans and it looked good. Frances took two scarves from her closet, one bright pink one and a white one. I took the pink one. Then I put on my teal headband, fussed about my hair, brushed it down, and blah blah blah.

Frances isn’t exactly what you would call a girly girl, so it was a tougher process making her look like a popular fashionable girly girl. She had a lot of skirts that she never wore, so I helped her pick out a few to try on. Some were mini skirts, which she hated. So then we had to go through her closet again. She picked out a long white one, which was okay… It was even harder finding something to go with the skirt that Frances would actually wear. I dug through her closet while Amelia took out her transparent nail polish to make the shiny look. I know, it sounds super girly and everything, but when everyone’s screaming and laughing and complaining, it’s fun. Frances chose a turquoise long sleeved shirt that went good with the skirt, so we decided on that. She then wraped her white scarf around her shoulders and made it look like a shawl. It was nice. :)

After we had all gotten our nail polish done, which you could barely even see, except for the shiny look, I raided Frances’ jewerly box for accesorries. Choosing jewerly isn’t easy for me if you know how fussy I can be with things that match, things that don’t match, things that are too weird…. and everything. Eventually, I decided on a white bracelet with these silver glitter patterns and a really cool shiny gray charm bracelet. Frances wore the blue one. And the black bracelet also with silver glitter patterns. Hmm…. All matching.

We set up three wheely chairs in Frances’ study room, which was the bus. Two had huge squishy cushions, for Chloe and Natalie.

Too tired to write…. slept at two thirty and woke up at eight. The night before we had been down in the basement, where Frances’ brother Kevin’s friends were there playing COD 4. Call of Duty 4. I don’t get why it’s so addicting. Oh yeah, it’s a computer game. They were all staring at their Mac screens all night playing. Well, except for a few people. Some played handball with us. And everything.

SO TIRED………………………………………………..

Bet you can guess who that is. Let me repeat it. The girl who’s constantly RANDOMLY HYPER when everything is silent. I’ll give you three seconds to guess……………………………………………………………………………………………..You thought of the name yet?

It’s Jessica . Obviously. She’s the only one who bursts out laughing for no noticeable reason.

She’s a really good swimmer, really fast, and I think it helps that when she gets even the tiniest bit hyper, she gets a lot of energy. Because I know if I swam as much as she did, my arms and legs would’ve fallen off a long time ago.

INTERVIEW WITH JESSICA HU:

What’s your favorite color?

“GREEN!!!”

Well duh, she loves green. Whenever she sees something green, she squeals green!!! Well, sometimes… It’s weird, but it fits her personality. Funny, hyper, and really weird in a good way.

Who’s your best friend?

” Uhhh…. don’t exactly have one, but I have a lot of friends.”

I know the feeling. Not being able to choose a best friend because if you do, all your other friends get all mad and everything. :?

Why are you always so hyper?

” Um… the extra energy and too much sugar.”

Extra energy… SO THAT’S WHY SHE’S SO FAST IN SWIMMING!!!   MMMM…. sugar is good….. but rots your teeth. And makes you all jittery. Gosh, I wanna eat candy now.

Do you like to slap people? Why?

” I like slapping, it’s okay. I just enjoy it.”

Slapping is fun. As long as it’s your friend ans you’re just joking around. Two days ago or something, I had my hot pack thing with me, and when the bell rang and we were ust going into the building, I used it to slap her. I didn’t know it would hurt, so I did it to myself. IT HURTS. So then we were all laughing, and she was ducking away whenever I looked like I was reaching out and slapping her. It’s funny.

Do you believe in aliens?

” Yeah, and that one day they’ll come and abduct us.”

I wonder how aliens look like. Especially Martians. Are they red? And do they have T.V’s, running water, eletricity, computers, books, phones, and technology in Mars? And if they abduct us, I won’t like them. Unless they give me a ton of good things. :P

How long do you plan on living?

” As long as possible…..!!! Or just when I think my life is complete.”

All you need for your life to be complete (in my opinion) is friends, family, pets, food, water, T.V’s, snacks, computers, eletricity, the sun, the moon, education, music, books, phones, fashionable clothes, and air. And other stuff.

Did you cry when your brother left for college?

” Don’t think so, probably not…. didn’t like him then.”

I don’t know if I’ll cry when my brother goes to college… By then I’ll be in 9th or 10th grade. I’ll miss him, but I won’t miss the hair pulling, the door slamming, the shouting, the fights, and everything. :)

Are u racist?

” No…”

I’m not either. :)   Everyone has the same value in the world. Even animals. Especially cute cuddly ones. That reminds me of today at school when Jessica, Candice and I were discussing whether walruses were really fat….. They are. NO offence.

What do you think of yourself in general?

” Awesome

She always says that. :P I guess it’s true. I’ve never met anyone else who can eat some sugar and in the next few minutes, start laughing and screaming.

In general, Jessica is, and always will be, the girl who’s constantly randomly hyper when everything is silent. And a really great friend.

I like that word. QUIZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ….  Okay. I’ll give a few lyrics from some songs. And maybe a few other clues. Then if you want, you can answer them. Kay?

Easy:

1. “I remember you driving to my house in the middle of the night, I’m the one who makes you laugh, when you know you’re ’bout to cry,”  The song is by an American country singer, who’s about twenty years old. I like her songs.  :P   She had her first hit at the age of 16, in 2006.

2.”I hopped off the plane at LAX with a dream and my cardigan” I also like this song… It’s catchy. Vivian probably knows this. Lots of people know this…

3. “Both hands tied behind my back for nothing, oh, no These times when we climb so fast to fall, again Why we gotta fall for it, now…”  Um… she won American Idol at 17 years old. She also won an American Music Award in 2008, and recieved her first Grammy nomination in 2009.

4.”I’d like to make myself believe … That planet earth turns slowly…”   Let’s see… the song is by a band with only one singer…. so basically not exactly a band. They had a concert in Shanhai like a couple of months ago. I didn’t go  .

Medium:

1.”Past the pumpkin patch and the tractor rides, look now, the sky is gold” Same singer as the first one in easy. Different album.

2.”I hear it every day, I hear it all the time I’m never gonna amount to much but they’re never gonna change my mind, oh. “  Song by an actress/singer. That song is in one of her movies. Which is a pretty good movie.

3.”Leave your jacket behind Lean out and touch the treetops over town.” By the band/ singer that I was talking about earlier for Easy number 4. It’s actually pretty easy once you know who sang this song.

4.”I think I’m moving but I go nowhere Yeah I know that everyone gets scared.” If you know my brother, which most of you don’t know, though, it’s a song by a band that he likes. I’m okay with it, but this song is one of the two or three songs that I like from the band. Here’s a tiny clue, the title has THREE WORDS. :? Okay… That was a bit weird.

Hard:

1. “ I wish I had an oppurtuniy to not do, what I did to hurt you and know I’m here living with regrets.” Not a singer I listen to very often. Don’t exactly know his songs that well. So don’t EXACTLY have good clues.

2. ” I realize you love yourself more than you could ever love me.” Not hard. Not really. :P

3. “Every smile you fake is so condescending counting all the scars you made. “  Same singer as some of the songs above.

Got to go…. Bye.

First thing I’m going to say is that this post is gonna be rushed through because I have this to finish, reading, Chinese worksheet thing PLUS the unit test next Monday, and this piano theory thing. It’s SUPER ANNOYING. And I have to eat dinner, shower, brush my teeth, and do all that stuff BEFORE 10 o’clock. ?

Anyway… today at drama rehearsal after school today was OK… better than yesterday though. And more fun backstage. We could use our actual props today, which was pretty fun, though my prop was annoying. It’s a white hand towel. So I have to keep it over my arm without letting it fall off, and when we’re singing the whole group songs and have to hold out our arms. The narrators have to wear these masks that cover their eyes. They looked good, but it looks really uncomfortable. And the nose part is really weird because it sticks out too much, really pointy ish.

The lady vendors/some of the VOPs had baskets of flowers, which look really good. The cooks (Cecilia and Winnie) carried those mixing spoon type of things and a fake dead pig each. You know, the ones we use in P.E. The security guards (Timmy and Eric) held these fake spear/sword things that are really appropriate and have shiny tinfoil blades. The nightingales had their flutes with them. Well, Mairin wasn’t here today, but Cassandra was.  The Music Master (Faith) had her weird Chinese instrument that’s soooo cool even though I don’t know if it’s real. Peyton was the Physician, and had a red Chinese paperish umbrella with this flower pattern. Elisa, the Timekeeper, carried around a big glass and wood hourglass. Maxwell, the Chief of Staff, had this really long glittery on the top with a weird pattern thing which was his staff. It’s taller than me. :P The emperor and the little girl (Ming Li and Katie) didn’t have any props today. Katie’s going to wear a wig and and apron, and I THINK Ming Li’s going to have a gold robe or something. Meng Yen, the Gong Keeper, stood by the gong and struck it whenever a certain song or something ends or the emperor orders something. Everyone gets a red lantern on one of the songs.

Backstage, Candice had her phone out and was playing with it. Mines was in mybackpack. Anyway, Sanjana, sometimes Meher, Grace, Claudia and I were all peeking out the curtains to see what was happening on stage. But then the narrators started noticing us and kept on hissing at us to stop looking out the curtain in between the lines. Espeically at the end, when the VOPs were on stage dancing and Sanjana and I started doing the same dance still peeking out the curtains. I think it was Owen who hissed at us the most. :)

When it was Sanjana and me’s turn to go on stage and sing, it was better than yesterday. A bit louder. But we still need to be a tiny bit more louder for everyone to hear or something.

Mr. Falck also said we need to work on projecting our voices at the end when the emperor is dying and Sanjana and I take care of the emperor and we have a few lines. It’s not that easy to project your voice when you’re trying not to laugh awkwardly. Because Mr. Falck said we need to use our towels to “mop the emperor’s forehead”. It’s just SSOOOOOO AWKWARD. Really. :?

MEANWHILE on the other side of the backstage, Candice and Melissa and other people were playing this game where one person says “I love U but just can’t say it” or something in a weird way while the other people try not to laugh. When Candice played with me later, I totally failed and couldn’t NOT SMILE unless I bit my lip really hard.

Shoot. Have to go, already six forty. Bye!

Just have random thoughts in my mind that I need to either say out loud or type, so I’m gonna type.

I’M SO RELIEVED THAT MY INVENETION CONVENTION PRESENTATION AND SPEECH IS OVER!!! Whew… It was today for Andrew, Jason, Josh, and me for our presentations. There are both upsides and downsides on this. The downsides are that you have to sort of set the high standards or something, you don’t know what to do if you’re the first one, like Andrew, and it’s just confusing. Who agrees?  Upsides are that you can just get it over with and enjoy the rest of the presentations without that feeling of dread in your stomach, like ten thousand butterflies are fluttering in their with no way to escape until you finish your speech.   I could’ve done better, WAY better, but I only had half a day to prepare everything. It’s not my fault that my schedule was so booked up though.

Hmmm…. Thinking about Saturday when I went to Yung’s house to “do homework” . Parents can be sooo clueless sometimes. Well, we did do about three quarters of our homework, but then we kept on getting distracted by

A) The apple pie that Yung and her mom made on Friday after swimming. It’s odd,we have so many classes together. As soon as I tasted it, I could taste the apple, raisin, and cinnamon. It was really good. But super sticky. And crunchy and delicious on the top. YUM.

B) The need to scream out the window. We did that a couple of times and saw the next door house’s ayi staring at us, so we ducked down while I reached my hand up to slam the window closed. It was hilarious. :P

C) The need to throw stuff out the window. Into the garden. Yung threw her giant stuffed FAKE abalone out the window. I know, it’s weird. So we had to run down the stairs, out the front door, pull on our shoes, (YUNG STOLE MY UGG BOOTS!) and race to the back yard to get it. Then we had to go back up, throw another thing out the window again, race down to get it….. yatty yatty yatty.

There were other stuff but I’m in a hurry to get this post done cause I have loads of homework to finish. UGH.

Drama Rehearsal after school today was sort of boring. After, when we were waiting for the buses, I saw some of the swim team people. I took part of Josh’s chocolate. His hair was seriously MESSED UP. It was sticking straight up in different directions, making him look  like he’d just been shocked. :P

It was COLD today. Or maybe it’s just because I was only wearing two layers, including my outside jacket. I forgot to bring a sweatshirt or another jacket. So I stayed in both recesses to work on my IC poster. So did Candice and Jessica. And Meher. It was weird and lunch recess cause Jessica and I were trying to steal gum from Richard. We each got two. It’s sort of this fruit punch flavor that’s extremely addicting.

Double sided tape is sooo cool. You tape it on one side, you can tape it on another side! I’ve been using it a lot these days. To tape side. ON BOTH SIDES. :P I just love that kind of sticky stuff. :)

Oh shoot, really have to go now. See ya!

Goldberg mahine junkyard wars. It was pretty fun, and we didn’t have to go to any lessons except for Specials and Chinese. A HUGE relief. I don’t know why, but lots of lessons make my head dizzy and everything. Ugh. Anyway… JUNKYARD WARS.

It’s actually a special Beyonda Box activity. My group members were Andrea, Cindy, and Wesley. And me!!!

We were supposed to build a Goldberg machine with junk, and let’s just say that my group’s didn’t exactly work in the beginning. The goal was to make as many steps as you could with junk to pop a balloon. Mr. Hanlin said the record was somthing like 22, which is really hard if you ask me. All you have ato do to pop a balloon is to either sit on it, step on it, or pop it with a pin. I got scratched and poked and dictionaries fell on me a couple of times. And I also got tape stuck on my finger.

In the beginning, we set up three dictionaries for a dominoe effect, then it would hit the small wooden wheels, which somebody had stuck on the stick. The wheels would go rolling and bump into a cereal box, then a empty water bottle for another tiny dominoe effect. The problem with the beginning with that routine was that the wheels would roll in diffferent directions if we didn’t carefully at EXACTLY the right spot. I’m not what you would call a patient girl, so I got pretty frustrated. So then we decided to try a different method.

Wesley set to work collecting huge cardboard boxes and stacking them one on top of another, then attaching string and stuff to the boxes. Cindy, Andrea, and I took small cardboard things, dictionaries, balls, and P.E equipment to first make a little ramp by placing a flat peice of cardboard on some cone shaped things, with shorter ones in the front. Our first idea was to make the three dictionaries fall against each other, pushing the ramp down after the ball perched on top of the ramp went rolling down ramp before it collapsed. It worked a couple of times, but you had to place the cone shaped things in a certain postion to make the ball (I called the ball the baby ball. Don’t ask why. The little red ball was just tiny compared to the other big ones. Smaller than the size of you fist. :P )  roll down. After it rolled down, it was supposed to push the P.E thing with wheels on it, which had the pin attached to the end by a pipe cleaner and tape. It only needed a little push, thenit would glide several centimeters, which would reach the balloon placed there and pop it.

That was only three steps, and Wesley was still working on his cardboard box struture. We defiently needed more, so I went out to the project area, which was acting as our “clean junkyard” for the activity. Collecting certain cardboard and styrofoam things meant that I had to wade into the huge pile of clean junk, even when they were seperated into different sections. I found a sort of perfect piece of cardboard that was really good for another ramp, more steep and narrow with sides so the ball wouldn’t fall out. So here’s our second method.

The three dictionaries were knocked down, pushing the red baby ball that was perched on top of the last dictionary down through a backward ramp, like a slide, making the ball roll down the slide and into a small box connected to the end of the slide. Cindy and I had cut a hold big enough for the ball to go through, and stuffed the bottom with tissues so that the ball would reach the level of the hole. If we were lucky, the ball would slip through the hole and nudge the P.E thing with wheels one centimeter, which would pop the balloon with the pin on it’s side. That worked… Occasionally. Four steps was better than three, even though it was just by luck if the ball would slip through the hole.

Then Wesley finished his cardboard box & string structure, and we attached the really long piece of string with a small bottle full of water dangling from it onto another small cardboard structure that he had made, two cones with a stick thing in the middle. We also collected more bottles and filled some with water, making them part of the dominoe effect with the dictionaries. To start the chain of reactions to pop the balloon, this is what you do:

Place the small bottle of water attached to the string onto one of the boxes, depending on height. Let it swing down to hit the closest bottle, which will start the dominoe effect. After all two bottles of water and three dictionaries have fallen, the red ball will slip down the slide and drop into the box. We had tilted the box by a fraction so that it was easier for the ball to roll out of the hole. The ball hits the wheely thing, which has a pin stuck to the side of it, and rolls about a centimeter to the balloon, and the pin hits it and the balloon goes POP.

Let’s see… Swinging rope, step one. Dominoe effect… step two. Ramp, step three. Box & hole, step four. Wheely thing and POP, step five. Or would that be two seperate steps? So five- six steps. That’s okay….. but it’s like nothing compared to the record.  :? I’m not one to break records. The winner of this year’s junkyard war was group 23 and group 31 or something… they both had ten steps. LUCKY  >_<  :P

GOSH I NEED PEOPLE TO GIVE ME IDEAS ON WHAT TO WRITE!! Sorry, just under pressure. Have Chinese tutor later. Still need to practice piano, and my ankle is killing me again.

1. Rehearsal was first in the morning. I wasn’t fully awake yet. I had slept the whole bus ride, like forty something minutes long. It’s supposed to be something like fifteen minutes long, but in the morning there’s more traffic on the road and we still have to go to other compounds and everything. Anyway, Rehearsal was normal. We sang, spoke lines, sang more… One exception to the normal rule is that when it wasn’t our turns to sing, speak, or go on stage, Britanny and I studied for our Chinese test. We had both forgotten… so yeah. It was pretty easy. Even the poem in the ke wen was easy. I think I passed the test. Pretty sure I got one tiny thing wrong.

2. Chinese… The test, which most people didn’t know we were going to have and groaned, moaned, and whined when they found out (JOSH), was okayish for me. Even though I only had ten minutes to study with music playing loudly and people talking. Then the teacher handed out a story about this famous Chinese poet and everything. And for homework we need to do this worksheet thing on the story, which is just so UNFAIR if you ask me. We have WAY too much homework already. And for me, not just for school, but for things other than school too. :?

3. Recess was fun. :P But I’m not exactly allowed to say what. So yeah.

4. After recess was math. It turns out that I got three wrong for the fraction page. Carelessness…. :P

5. Then it was writing. Except in my case, I was more like working on my poster. Of the LIGHT BULB that changed the world!!! :P I don’t know what I would do without the light bulb. Seriously. Last time I worked on the poster, I got seriously fed up and almost yelled at people when they asked me a question or something. I was sorta like a volcano. You never know when I’ll explode…..   It turned out that I had forgotten to format the picture into square. Seriously, I can be so dumb at times. AT TIMES. So today, I remembered to format the pic first and then do all the typing and designing things. My poster looks okay now. It has several pics of the light bulb, one of the first light bulb, one of the modern one, and one cartoon one. :) Then there’s this other pic of Thomas Edison. Then info.

6. Lunch was tacos. I don’t exactly like them, so I gave one to Candice and one to Jessica. Then I ate chicken and drank orange juice. I don’t really have a huge appetite. Well, on weekends I do. :P Lunch recess. I can’t exactly say what “we” did, so… moving on.

7. After lunch recess, we did writing again, and I had nearly finished my posterwhen there was loud bell and siren that signaled a fire drill. It really hurt my ears. Lucky for Candice, she had pulled on a hat that covered HER ears so that the siren didn’t blast in HER ears. Selfish, she didn’t bring an extra one for me! JK, Candice. :P

8. Then came the assembly for the Goldburg Machine for Junkyard Wars in our Beyonda Box this month. A goldburg machine is a thing with a lot of complicated steps that make a simple motion, like pop a balloon. I honestly don’tthink there’s much point to that, but it seems fun. :)

9. After that, we packed up and headed to our buses, where Peyton and I started having a  “who can be more weird” contest. Peyton won, naturally. She started singing Tik Tok by Ke$ha, with this weird accent and overacted motions which were hilarious if you actually saw her do it.

10. Got home, ate some stuff, and started on my homework. Then had a chinese tutor. And now I’m here. Anyway.

Bye till next time!

It’s so hard to think of what to write these days. Or maybe it’s because I’m too tired to do anything. The weather today was just gloomy. I’m tired. But I also want to scream in frustration. It’s the pressure of homework, school, piano, and all kinds of stuff that make me confused, tired, dizzy, and want to scream. Anyway….

When I brought my light bulb modelinto the classroom,I already saw lots of models, and I have to admit that they’re all really good. The swirly filament thing inside my model was starting to sag a bit, so I had to prop it up. Then I took a red Sharpie and outlined something on the styrofoam to match the thick blue line of a blue Sharpie on the other side. For some reason, we don’t have red Sharpies at home, not ever in Karson’s room. He has a LOT  of stuff.

Wait, lemme think, I forgot what we did after that…. Um…. Okay, I’ll get back to you on that once I remember. Math was after that. Why do we always have math in the mornings now? My brain doesn’t work as smoothly as in the afternoon because I’ve just woken up an hour or something ago. Today’s math lesson was something about adding and subtracting fractions with different denominaters, I think. I learned that in third grade or something, so it wasn’t that hard. Math boxes were easy…..

I couldn’t eat my snack because it was that Kinder Bueno type of chocolate with nuts in them, so I didn’t open it when I saw the sign that showed a pic of nuts on the wrapping. It was too bad….  Chocolate is a huge part in my life. I worship the person who invented chocolate.

It was indoor recess, so most people stayed in the classroom to watch the movie. Kids from other classes came in to watch too. My desk has a pretty good view of the T.V, so I didn’t need to move or anything. The movie was called “Blank Check”, about this kid who got this blank signed check and got it cashed for a million dollars or something. Anyway.

P.E was pretty fun. For warm-up, we jogged for 6 minutes. We usually jog for 5 minutes, but 6 isn’t that much of a change. It wasn’t really tiring. I didn’t actually notice that we ran for 6 minutes until Ms. Baydo shouted stop and walk. I guess I was too busy chatting with Frances. Then we had to do these converted types of sit-ups which made in easier yet harder at the same time. In one minute, I think I got twenty seven. I’m not sure. Once we’d finished that, we played this game with mice, cheese, balls, and people throwing. There are three groups. One are the mice, who steal the small beanbags that are the cheese. The other two groups throw balls to hit the mice from the side lines to stop them from stealing the cheese. Our group totally failed. We only got five pieces of cheese, whereas the other two teams got nine and twelve.    :)

Chinese was okay. The teacher read out my essay to the class cause she thought it was good or something. It wasn’t actually my best work cause we did it before classes for this writing excersise, so I only got like a few paragraphs done in two classes. So…

THE PHANTOM had struck again. The phantom is this person who we don’t know who comes occasionally without warning and dumps desks that he/she thinks is messy. I got dumped once, but it was like a tiny mess, with some loose papers and stuff that I had thrown in the day before because I was in a hurry to get to the bus on time. This time I didn’t get dumped, but you should have seen the mess from Chris’s desk. It would be perfect for Junkyard Wars. It was like trash can had been tipped over, no offence, Chris. :P

Lunch was normal lunch. Blah Blah Blah. It was again indoor recess so I went up to the classroom with Candice and Jessica to watch more of “Blank Check”.

In Landforms, we watched a video about volcanoes while taking notes. There are three types of volcanoes: cone, shield, and something else that I can’t remember.

We packed our bags, then headed over to the PAC to watch part of the middle school play: Teen Machine or something. It was okay…thought when the flashing lights came, everyone shielded their eyes. It was really bright and aimed directly at Grace C. and I. My eyes hurt like crazy after that.

I don’t want to do other homework. But I guess I have to. Sooo… Bye!
