Yeah, I totally forgot that it was friday the 13th today. It wasn’t unlucky at all. What reminded me was when I looked at horoscopes on Yahoo it said: Happy friday 13th. Today was aperfectly fun day. I woke up at nine because my mom was telling me that she was going to Carrefour. I stayed in my P.J’s watching a boring movie on HBO until 11 o’clock. Then I decided to eat some breakfast. My sister made me a fried egg that tasted delicious! I headed upstairs to the bathroom after putting my plate in the sink. I took a shower and then biked to Cass’ house to see if she could play. It was 39 degrees celcius!!!!! I mean it!!! When I got there, I pressed on the buzzer and got Jordan (Cass’ brother) on the phone. I asked for Cass so he called her but she said she didn’t want to play. I was kind of sad because I thought I’d done something wrong. I raced back home because I couldn’t stand the heat any longer. When I got home I had to help my mom set up the umbrella. More dreaded minutes in the heat. When we were done, ran inside towards the kitchen for some water. Then I watched Princess Diaries with my mom. When the movie ended I went up to my room to text Cass. Just when I’d sent the text, I got a text from her asking: can I come over. I immediately answered: sure! To surprise her, I raced outside grabbed my bike and headed towards her house. I waited for a bit but nobody came out. So then I went back home but guess who was standing there? Cass! She’d gone a different route. Then we baked brownies and had a really fun time. And guess what? When I’d buzzed at her house, she thought I was Ali (no offense) and that’s why she didn’t want to play! So instead of today being unlucky, it’s lucky! Who knows? (Or maybe the worst is yet to come, hihi).

Since I’ve been back in the Netherlands, I’ve started reading this really fun Dutch Serie. I read four books in one week! That’s how much I love the serie. There are 13 books in the serie. The main character’s name is Rosa. In every book, there is a story but also there are emails between Rosa and her two best friends Esther and Jonas. When one of them has a problem, the other friend send them survival tips. They’re really helpful because I can use them too, not just Rosa. The books range from love, to family, to friendship, to arguments and much more!!! They’re really interesting (to me) and that’s why I read them so quickly. I can’t really give you an explanation about the book because in every book something different happens. The author of the book is: Francine Oomen. You wouldn’t know her of course because she’s dutch, which is logical. Well, that’s about all I can tell you about my favorite dutch serie in the whole world!…no, THE UNIVERSE!!!!!!!!!!!!

I’m back in the Netherlands!!!!!!! I really enjoyed being in Wales and spending time in the countryside, unlike Shanghai, but there has to be an end to everything, right??? I had to wake up at seven in the morning (usually I wake up at nine thirty) and I had 45 minutes to get ready. Then we said goodbye to my mom’s aunt and we drove off. The first part of the drive was easy because it was only on the highway. Then when we left the highway all the signs saying: Bristol Airport, were extremely tiny and all hidden behind the trees. Finally we found it but we were a little late so we immediately handed in the keys to the rental car and hurried to check in our baggage. A women next to us had 14 kilos overweight baggage and had to pay 150 pounds. That’s about 1,500 RMB! After we were finished we headed upstairs to the x-ray area. It was the first time ever where I had to take off my shoes! I found that extremely weird. Then we looked around in some of the shops. We had to spend all of my dad’s pounds so I bought three rubber bracelets; one with the British flag, one with London in fancy letters and one saying I ♥ LONDON. I also got jellybeans. My sister and my mom also bought some stuff but I can’t quite remember what. Later, we found out our flight was delayed so we waited for 45 more minutes. Finally we boarded the airplane. It was about 50 minutes. I read my book. I’m reading this dutch series that I’m TOTALLY addicted to. When we got to Schiphol, we gathered our luggage and then got some lunch at a snackbar. Then we took a train to Hollandse Rading where I’m staying in my cousins’ house while they’re on vacation. On the train there were these guys that had really loud music on, were wrestling and drinking beer. I was so glad when they left the train. When we arrived at our final destination, my grandparents were inside, watching the dogs for a little while. That’s another good thing about staying here, I get to watch the dogs! At least I feel a little at home. Yesterday I went to my mom’s friend’s house and we stayed for dinner. It was really fun. That’s it so far…..

First of all, I’m sorry but I was spelling Wales wrong the whole week! I spelled it like this: Whales. But it was supposed to be spelled like this: Wales. Sorry!
Day six was the most fun of all!!!!!!!!! Let me tell you ALL about it.
So, on day six I went to a climbing forest with ziplines, tarzan swings and much more!!!!!!! In the morning, my dad called to make a reservation (or that kind of thing). He told us that we could be there at 2:30 in the afternoon. First we went to Monmouth to get some groceries and then we headed to the climbing forest. On our way there, we saw one of those old telephone cells so we decided to take a picture in it and we were early anyway. We got out of the car and I got a picture taken first. I opened the door and it was sooooo heavy! Femke had to help me open it! When I was in the stall, I saw a bee on the door! I freaked out and ran out so quickly that I ran onto the road! Then my mom flicked the bee away and we tried to take the picture again. It was pretty funny, the phone was really new but the stall was really old. After the picture was taken, we headed towards the climbing forest again. We got there and we were an hour and a half early so we decided to walk around the lake. We did but we still had 45 minutes so I read a book.
Then it was time….but we had to wait even longer…. we had to read this piece of paper with rules and stuff and my parents had to fill out a form. Then we put on our harnesses and got a training session which was about 40 minutes. Then we got to start. First we climbed a ladder about 20 meters. Then there were different obstacles. To me it wasn’t scary because I knew I was clipped to a wire. There were different courses. At the end of every course there was a zipline where you were clipped to a wire and then you just simply zoom down to the ground, through the forest. My favorite part was one of the last things. The tarzan swing. I was clipped to a rope and then I jumped off of the platform. I went forward and then I dropped about 2 meters. At the end was a big net. When I hit the net I had to hold on and climb up to the platform. My mom was too scared to do it so she took a different route. So, this was my favorite day in Wales, day 6.

On day five I went to my mom’s cousin’s house. It took a really long time to get there, well to me it did. It was about an hour and a half. It was raining outside so I fell asleep. Rain makes me feel dull and then I pretty much automatically fall asleep. When we got to the right place, we couldn’t find the right house. We almost went to the wrong house but then we decided to go to the next street. Then my mom’s cousin was waiting outside so we knew it was the right house. She had never seen Femke and I before so it took a while to get to know her and her family. Her son’s name is Nikki. He was 16 and he had blue hair! It was wicked! Her daughter’s name is Natalie and she’s 17. They have a black lab called Bella and she’s sooooo cute! First we went to this mountain and we walked Bella. We saw a couple herds of deer. It was so cool! Then we went back to their house and we had lunch. After that we had to pick up her son from his work and we decided to do a little shopping in that area. I bought four chocolate bars for one pound! (About 10 RMB) I also bought swim shorts for my sailing camp. Then we went home and kind of just talked. Well that was day 5!
