May 17th, 2011

Wilhelm Roentgen is the inventor of  X-Ray. Wilhelm Roentgen invented X-Ray in the year 1895. Wilhelm Roentgen is a Germany and Wilhelm Roentgen is known as the first professor to discover the possibility of using electromagnetic radiation to create what we now know as the X-Ray. Wilhelm Roentgen was exploring the path of electricity rays passing from an induction coil through an evacuated glass tube. Although the glass tube need to be covered in black paper and the room need to be completely dark, he noticed that a screen covered in see through paper was illuminated by the X-Rays. He later realised that some of objects could be see through by these rays(X-Rays), and that the projected image of his own hand showed his bones. He later used a photograph plate instead of a screen, and an image was captured. In this way an extraordinary invention had been made. Then Wilhelm Roentgen realized that this invention could actually save billions of people’s life if he let the hospital use it for surgeries. Wilhelm Roentgen’s real name is actually (Wilhelm Conrad Roentgen). Wilhelm Roentgen was born on March 27,1845 in Rhenish prussia. Wilhelm Roentgen was dead on February 10, 1923, so that means that when Wilhelm Roentgen was dead he is 78 years old.
