Curriculum Area: Reading
Goal (SMART): Improve my critical reading skills by reading a book and writing down all my comments on post its.
Resources Needed: Post its, book, pencil, critical reading skills, brain and me
Specific Step 1: Ask Mrs. Boyer to help me find a quality book to read.
Specific Step 2: Read the book critically.
Specific Step 3: While reading make sure to use sticky notes to write down anything I think about the book.
Specific Step 4: Share my sticky notes with my parents, teachers and/ or peers.
How will I know I have reached my goal: When I have engaged my parents in a meaningful discussion.
When will I know I have reached my goal: When I have persuaded my parents to read the book.
