My name is Isabelle Renee. I was named after one of the queens of Spain, Isabella. Renee, my second name is from my dad’s oldest brother, Rene, because I’ m the first grandchild on my dad’s side. I was born on a Sunday August 16, 1998 at 5:44 a.m. at the Metropolitan Hospital in the Philippines. I’ve lived most of my life in Shanghai with both parents and one brother.
Once when I was small, I followed my cousin out the door to a shop. The shop was really near in fact it was the door next to ours. I was only about one and a half years old at that time and my cousin was about five. He was to return an empty Coke bottle to the store when CRASH!!! He accidently dropped the glass bottle of Coke. Pieces of glass were everywhere. Luckily for my cousin he didn’t get hurt at all but unfortunately I did. I had blood dripping all over from my elbow to my wrist. Soon enough my aunt came rushing out our gate because she heard the howling of my cousin. The moment she saw me I could tell she was petrified from the look in her eyes. The funny thing was that I was brave enough not to cry. But I did cry real hard when we put alcohol on my small cut. To this day, I still have a scar on my wrist that reminds me about the incident. I should say that at a young age I was already a brave girl.
I learned my alphabet at a very young age or when I was one and a half years old to be exact. I would show my talent to my dad’s family, my mom’s family and family friends and they would be really amazed. I could recite the alphabet and when someone pointed to a letter or to an object to represent the letter I could identify what letter it was.
Very soon after this happened came an event that would change my life… FOREVER! We moved to Shanghai when I was just two and a half years old, my brother wasn’t even born yet. On our first week here my parents and I went to Carrefour just to check it out. After touring the place for quite a while I was adventurous enough to go off wandering on my own. The moment my parents realized that I was gone they started to search. They were freaking out. My parents searched, searched and searched, they even considered talking in the loudspeaker. They found me in the customer service section after thirty minutes of searching. There I was sitting very calm with my arms clasped waiting for my parents to pick me up. Even as a child I was confident that my parents were there for me and would never leave me.
It is these three important events that make me who I am today. Here I am, having lived 10 years of my life. I, Isabelle, am here just twiddling my thumbs hoping to become the greatest inventor in the world!

Readers Theatre is like a play, but there’s more talking and less acting. This gives students a chance to practice their reading skills like expression and fluency.
Summary
The story starts out in Berlin, Germany where Albert Einstein was currently living. He found out that the famous Dr.Freud was visiting, so Albert invited him to his house. Hans, a 30 year- old cab driver, takes Dr. Freud to Albert and his wife, Elsa’s home. Helen is Albert’s 25 year- old assistant who brings in a tray of food and drinks in the middle of the play. After talking about dreams and the theory of relativity for about an hour, Dr. Freud decides to leave because his cab has come back.
My Thoughts
I found this process kind of boring. All we did everyday was read the script over and over, that’s why when it got near the end of the class my group started to goof off. Even though we weren’t always doing what we were supposed to be doing in practice, I think that we did good when we performed. But when I was reading my script I stumbled on a couple words by accident because of nervousness.
My Group and Their Parts
Sydney: Narrator 2
Ava: Narrator 1
Bailey: Hans/ Helen Dukas
Kelvin: Albert Einstein
Me: Elsa Einstein
Anika: Dr. Freud

Today, when I was chatting with my aunt she sent me a music video of a MOM. She told me that it was originally for my Mom but she thought that I could also relate to the song. When I was watching the video it made me laugh imagining my Mom singing that song. To all of the Moms, Dads and kids in the world, watch this video. I can promise you that you will LOVE it .

Have you ever wondered what school is good for? I as a kid ask that to myself a lot. If you think really hard about it there are many reasons why school is good for you. Here are a couple reasons why I think school is good for you. Comment and tell me if you agree or disagree, or you could maybe help me come up with some more reasons why school is good for you and me.
1. Make friends.
2. Learn math, spelling, science, social studies, language arts and other subjects.
3. Prepare for your future by learning about responsibilities.
4. Read and write for enrichment and pleasure.
5. Learn to respect other people and all forms of life. Be kind.
6. Keep you physically healthy and learn about different sports and games.
7. Develop creativity and love for music.
8. Learn to deal with different people while also learning about their culture and beliefs.

In P.E. we have been playing with speed stacks.
Speed stacking is a sport working with cups that can be played as an individual or team. The object of the game is to finish pyramids of three, six, or ten cups fastest, while as much as possible not making any errors (if you make an error you have to go back and fix it). In this sport you learn a lot about teamwork, cooperation, ambidexterity and hand-eye coordination.
Here’s a video of the fastest speed stacker ever, Steven Purugganan!!! Incidently, he is Filipino-American, and I’m Filipino, too!

I love to play soccer. It energizes me and makes me more aggressive. I forget about school and homework when I play soccer. It cools me down and makes me let go of my worries. On the soccer field you also have an oppurtunity to meet new people and make friends who also have the same interest as you. Let me tell you more about one of my most favorite sports, I hope you enjoy it.
Soccer also known as football, is a team sport played between two teams of eleven players, and is widely considered to be the most popular sport in the world. It is a football variant played on a rectangular grass or artificial turf field, with a goal at each of the short ends. The object of the game is to score by manoeuvring the ball into the opposing goal. In general play, the goalkeepers are the only players allowed to use their hands or arms to propel the ball; the rest of the team usually use their feet to kick the ball into position, occasionally using their torso or head to intercept a ball in midair. The team that scores the most goals by the end of the match wins. If the score is tied at the end of the game, either a draw is declared or the game goes into extra time and/or a penalty shootout, depending on the format of the competition.

This is a question that I copied from a teacher’s blog. Tell me what you think about my answers:
Scenario: You signed up for the latest reality television show where you are brought to an
unpopulated area to live for one year. A small house will be built for you to stay in for the
year, and you have a choice in some of the design. You have a list of common household
items that can go in your house, but you can ONLY select three. The items are a refrigerator, an oven, a microwave, a dishwasher, a washing machine, an air conditioner, a television, and an indoor toilet. Which items would you pick and why? Before you pick, consider these things about your location:
· It is very hot and humid all year round
· You are alone without access to other people
· There is a portable toilet already set up a half-mile from the house
· Clothes, sheets, dishes, and food will be supplied
Answer:
T.V.: I picked the television because I’m not going to be with anyone all throughout the year, so this is just another way for me to know what’s going on around me and to keep myself company, besides running around in the sun.
Indoor Toilet: I need an indoor toilet because whenever I have to go to the bathroom I would have to hold it and walk for half a mile, and I wouldn’t like that, especially at night.
Air Conditioner: I picked the air conditioner so that when I go outside where it’s really hot when I come back I could at least cool down. It would also help me in sleeping at night.

Mighty Muggs are a vinyl/plastic collectible toy series.
It was last November when my dad saw them at Toys R’ Us and he bought some. On that day the collection was born. Currently, at home we have 47 of them. I’ve recently been going on flickr, google, youtube and more to search for other Mighty Mugg collectors, but so far no one has a bigger collection one than ours. Here’s a picture of our collection. Enjoy and please comment!!!
