This weak I was sick so my chinese new year was not very intresting. I went to the doctor and had to take three medicines while I sort pictures with my mom (not so fun). And since we could not get a refund on the hotel my sister and dad went with out us. So now I get to see pictures of all there fun like petting a ice fox and baby reindeer (fun.) This Christmas I went to my house in America. We all had a great time sledding on the tiny bit of snow. For Christmas I got a lot of presents. I had a good time seeing family and friends.

I just read a book called The Beast Who Couldn’t Say Boo. My main character is called Boris. He is a kind beast. In the beginning he wants to share in front of the class. He can say boo to his cat he can say boo to his stuffed animals but not his class. I think about this because sometimes I am scared to speak in front of my class. He is brave at the end to yell boo in front of a human.

“Is it time to get on the boat yet?” I said in a tired bored voice the sea breeze in my face. I was with my cousins and grandparents. We where going to go on a boat ride. Then we heard, “All passengers board the boat.” When we got on the boat I looked all around. There were small seashells scattered all over the ground, like seashell necklaces had broken everywhere. It smelled like salt water and sea animals.

We had just pulled off shore. When we heard, “ go to your first stations.” So we walked to the back off the boat. While we walked I thought is this the right way to go? So I fouled my cousins and grandparents. There we saw a big tank like thing with a cover. Then we heard, “Hi, I will be your guide today.” Other people had joined us.

Then she took the lid off the tank. Everybody looked at it like a seagull watching a big bucket of crabs and fish. In it there was starfish, cabs, a sea finger, and horseshoe crabs. It smelled like I was in a boat filled with dead fish. But when I saw the crabs I was scared to pick up any thing in the tank up

Then she said we could touch the sea creatures. I picked up a starfish it stuck to me tight like it was trying to suck my blood. I put it on my other hand it felt like a slug, a big one. I put it back in the water on the side of the tank. Then I picked up a starfish with only three arms I felt sad for its other arms they where probably floating away. I didn’t pick up any more sea creatures I was scared that the crabs might pinch me.

Then our guide said, “ Who wants to feed the sea animals?” I raised my hand but she called on Tatum my cousin. I chatted with cooper my other cousin until she showed us wear the fish were to feed the animals in the tank. Tatum picked them up and dropped them in.

Then she said, “ Let’s pull up the crab trap” we all pulled until splash! It came out of the water. Then she told us how to tell the difference between boy and girl crabs. When it came up we counted the girls and boys by dropping them in two different buckets. There where to many boys so our guild said,” Who wants to throw the extra boys in the water?” I raised my hand and she called on me I picked up a boy crab and walked to the side of the boat before I could throw the crab away “Ouch!” I said the crabs hand had came around and pinched me. I threw the crab away hard and went to tell Tatum what had happened my finger was hurting.

After all the extra crabs where thrown off the boat our guild said, “Who wants to feed the crabs?” I didn’t raise my hand the crab had hurt my hand too much. So Piper got to feed them she is my other cousin. Then the guide walked over and picked up the sea finger then she squeezed it gently and water came out of the hole at the top of it. It got us all wet then we all asked, “ Can we squeeze it? She said, “ Maybe it needs to get more water in it” I was thinking where the hole might be because when she had squeezed it I wasn’t looking. Then she explained how it did it. After that she said it was time to go to our next station. So we walked to our next station after a good sea creature catch.

This is my 5th year at sas but this is my first blog.

I am in fourth grade and loving it so far.
