1. Create an interesting title

Enjoy the Comfort World (eating, playing, sleeping)!DSC02500-150x150

2. Describe the Dream house project.

I always wanted a house that is huge and wierd (which can show what’s in my brain…), so I made a house (whic looks like two houses) that’s huge and wierd ( designs of Alice in Wonderland< which can be childish). I could’nt show what’s inside; I didn’t really understand and I was busy at designing outside :C. I had to use warm colors outside, but there were also errors… and we had to make it look like 3D shape, so we had to use one- point perspective. Eventhough it was hard, it was very fun moment.

3. What was the inspiration behind your dream house design?

From the childhood to now, mostly everyone was curious about what;s in my brain, and I always tried to explain them wat’s in my brain, but everyone didn’t understood it. I always dreamed a world that I can always rest and chill… and a project tat’s called ‘Dream house’ came to me! I wondered how can I design, and I remembered an animation that’s called ‘Alice and Wonderland’, the one that I LOVED. I also dreamed a house that is connected.

4.  If you could build your dream house anywhere in world, where would you build it?

I would build it in Korea, because it’s my ome of the Heart. Also, most of my famillies and friends are living in Korea, so when they visit my house, they can sleep.

How was Egyptian Gods Gathering?

Posted in Humanities on May 6th, 2010 by hyenah01pd2016

In the gathering party, we drank juice, ate fooods and socialized with other gods and godess. It was really fun to know about my friends (gods). I learned many things about my friends, but i espacially want to intriduce 5 mythology.

1. Horus (Rachel) had a father (Osiris) who was chopped off by his brother Seth, and Seth also wanted to murder Horus, but Isis (mom) protected him (woman power!).

2. Isis (Linnea) has married with her brother Osiris. Osiris was murdered by his brother Seth, but Isis relived him. Well, Osiris was murdered by his brother Seth again, which is… mystery; BUT Isis relived him again! When Osiris relived again, he became the god of underworld.

3. Mut (Meenu) was self- created and she married with Amon (Me!). They did not had any baby, so they  adoted a child, Khonsu, the moon god.

4. Shu (Haelin) was CREATED. The god Atum CREATED Shu and Tefnut from his own body through masterbation.

5. Geb (Min Jun) was the god of earth. He was…GROSS! He always TOTALLY crazy with his wife, Nut, that he had to be seperated. There is one more shocking fact: He fell in love with his MOTHER! OMG!

Graph of Speeds (of Limmo& Speedster)

Posted in Science on May 4th, 2010 by hyenah01pd2016

First, we had to find the distance  which is in meters and the time which is in  seconds. So to find the speed, you have to divide distance by time (Distance/time= speed).

I couldn’t put the picture of my graph, but I can tell.

The orange line represent speedster and the blue line represent limmo. The speedster goes very fast (short time), but the distance is very short. The limmo is slow (long time), but the distance is long. I basically think that the reason why limmo goes longer distance than speedstar is because it’s larger (so it has more force.)

Five steps of EMBALMING

Posted in Humanities on May 4th, 2010 by hyenah01pd2016

1. The body is taken to the tent known as ‘Ibu’ or ‘the place of Purification’. The embalmers wash the body with nice smelling palm wine and clean it with water from the Nile river.

2. The embalmer then makes a cut in the left side of the body and removes the internal organs, which are the liver, lungs, stomach and intestines. It is important to remove those because they are the first part of the body to seperate. After that, the internal organs will be washed and packed in natron to dry them out. The heart won’t be taken out since Egyptians believed that it is the center of learning and feeling which the body will need in the afterlife. The embalmers then stick a long hook into the nose and chisels out the brain, turning it into liquid.

3. The body will be covered and stuffed with natron, something like salt. All of the fluids and rags from the body will be saved and buried along the body.

4. After 40 days, the body is washed again with water from the Nile. Then it is covered with oils to help the skin stay elastic.

5. The dried internals organs are wrapped  in linen and returned to the body. The body is stuffed with dry materials such as sawdust and leaves to make it look lifelike. At last, the body is again covered with good smelling oils. It is ready to be wrapped in linen.

ACROSTIC Poem of Ramose

Posted in Humanities, Science on May 2nd, 2010 by hyenah01pd2016

R amose was hidden in Thebes, known as an apprentice scribe; but he’s a future pharaoh.

A nywhere he goes, he wasn’t afraid; His best friends, Hapu and Karoya was always with him.

M ost of everything made him satisfied, except for living with a scribe Phaneb, whom Ramose say scornfully of.

O h no! A flood came to Thebes, gouginga deep rut in the sand, killing Ramose’s companies!

S ince then, everything was a such a mess. Hapu broke his nose by Ramose, being pushed into the crevice, but how lucky he is!

E verything was gone. Mery; The cook’s cat lost its owner and was given to Karoya by Ramose, but this isn’t the problem! Many tomb- makers were dead, there were only few left. Because there were only few, they were planned to be  sent to Tombos!

T he night was coming and Ramose sickly missed his father. He decided to sneak out to Memphis; Where his father lives.

H e gave his golden ring to a boat sailor and bought everything that they need during a journey.

E verything was working well, but a greedy boat sailor asked them more moneys, which is such a ridiculous situation!

S o you guys expected that Ramose and his friend are going to give a greedy boat salor more moneys right? But no way for Ramose!

E ven when a boat sailor threatened them that he’s going to leave them in the town that they don’t know, but too bad for boat sailor. Ramose did not winced or sniveled. Soon the boat that was moored sailed away.

C oming to Memphis before te pharaoh die without any boats or shelter was such a ridiculous thing. There were so many theives and Ramose and his friends were too young to protect themselves. It was such a tedious moment.

R amose and his friends got te huge luck. They met three men whom are called Hori, Seth and Intef. Hapu and Karoya enjoyed taking a journey with them.

E ither was Hori. But do you think also Ramose enjoyed it? Of course he liked the foods, but Ramose felt suspision about Hori and his companies, because Hori was interested about what Ramose was doing.

T he moon was very bright and beauthiful, but Ramose couldn’t sleep. Mery tried to sleep on Ramose, but it was really tiresome creature to Ramose. Then… Oh no! Ramose is kidnapped!

P  ulling and pushing, it was such an war while the kidnapper was dragging Ramose to Hori and Seth. After Ramose found that he was kidnapped by Hori and his companies, he realized a shocking fact… they were the tomb robbers!!

R amose, how unfortunate you are! Hori needed someone to read and explain what the scroll says to get jewel- lies in the pyramid. Ramose did not had any choice, but to follow what they say.

I t was very dark and dangerous inside the pyramid. After they reached the te end, Ramose and Intef found the alabasters, amulets, gold, ect… Intef gave lavish jewel-lies to hold and finally suceed by coming back.

N o way! Hapu is also kidnapped! Karoya and Hapu tried to find Ramose after he was gone and unfortunately Hapu was captured! This time, Ramose, Hapu and Seth were sent to the another pyramid, and what a horror! Seth was died by a trap. After Hori and Intef found Seth died, they blocked them in the pyramid to die, but main characters never die! Mery came inside the pyramid and led tem to Kroya!

C oming outside the pyramid was very great moment, but there was the end of happiness. People in the town they arrived already witnessed them escaping the pyramid and reported them!

E scaping them was such a horror. But then, what a  fortuty! Ramose saw this famillies and his friend. He tried to catch them, but they didn’t saw him. It was very heartbreaking, but Ramose  recieved the information. They are heading to Thebes! Now Ramose changed his mind and decided to go back to Thebes. It’s the new start of his journey with his friends.

About Amun

Posted in Humanities on May 2nd, 2010 by hyenah01pd2016

Name of god/goddess: Amun
God/Goddess of Creation
Responsibilities include:King of the gods
Symbols: Bull, ram, goose
Describe appearance: A man with a ram-head; ostrich plumped hat/crowned with feathers
Related Mythology:

Amon’s wife was Mut and his son Khonsu (the moon). Amon’s historical role in Egypt is riddled with political intrigue. Originally a minor deity recognized in Thebes, Amon came into prominence in Upper Egypt with the accession of the prince of Thebes to power in Egypt. As a result of his rise in popularity, Amon was promoted to king of the gods some time after the 12th Dynasty when Thebes became the new capital of Egypt.

Reflection of Mousetrap Car

Posted in Science on April 19th, 2010 by hyenah01pd2016

Q. What are the main changes I need to make (be specific and use terms such as rear/front axle, Kevlar string, wooden side rails, friction, etc) in order to maximize the distance that my car will travel in a straight line?

A. We have to make strings long enough to have the force, and we have to make wheels to point same direction.

Q. Why is working with my partner important in making sure that our car will perform to its best capabilities? How is this done?

A. It’s important because my partner Si Eun helped me to make mouse traps.

Q. What details will we need to be careful of in making our next car (little Mo!) this week?

A. How long the length of the string should be, and see if the wheels are pointing same direction.

Q. Were there any details in the Instruction Guide that were left out when you were building your cars?  (in other words, could you have built your car by reading and following the instructions completely?) Explain.

A. Yes, I misunderstood where we have to hang the loop, so we had to cut it, which made a mess.

Points of Friction

(on both axles – also note the distance between wheels to each other and to the wooden side rails)

I got 5/5 for organization, 4/5 for ideas, 4/5(8/10) for word choice, 4/5 (8/10) for sentence fluency, 3/5 for convention and 5/5 for writing process.

The highest score was 5/5, which were organization and writing process; and the lowest score was 3/5. for convention. Now on, I have to improve indenting pragraphs correctly.

Humanities- Reflection of AR

Posted in Science on April 1st, 2010 by hyenah01pd2016

There were only two genres in the WHOLE books that read, which is Fantasy and Realistic fiction. Levels of books were at least 4.5 and the highest level was 5.9. My AR goal was 15 points, and I accomplished it, by 60 points. My goal for AR points are now 70 points. It will be hard, but I’ll accomplish it by reading books at least 25 minutes. I’ll also read books that’s thick. I’ll read them best as I can.
