Stress Assignment
Things typically stress me out
School Works stress me out the most that I am always sleepy because I often go to bed at 2′o clock for doing homework. The amount of homework given everyday and the time taken for every homework are much greater than my old school. I am a new student here,SAS this year, and still lacking with adaptability.
Sometimes, arguing with someone stresses me out as well. I often cannot concentrate on my works, just constantly thinking how someone acted and how I acted just before.
How do you deal with the pressures of school?
I cope with the pressures from school by hanging out with my friends every weekend. While I chat with them about stresses from school, I encourage them and they encourage me.
What is a stressor?
A stressor is something that makes you uneasy or nervous. For examples, homework, projects and tests can be stressors.
What are some different types of social stressor?
Social stressors are like poverty, social issues, financial issues, racism, bullying and etc.
Do you find that there are equal amounts of academic and social stressors?
I do not find that there are equal amounts of academic and social stressors, but I also think that it depends on each person. If someone is eager to study hard , then he/she might be stressed out from academic stressors, like getting good grades on tests. If someone is outgoing, then he/she might be stressed out from social stressors, like socializing.
what do you agree with and what would you argue about in how the article relates to teens at SAS?
I do not agree with the article that teens get stressed. I have not seen people having family problems, concerning about the world issues in SAS, yet.
What do you do to relieve stress?
I take a nap for relieving stress from tiredness. If I get stressed from social or academic stresses, I relieve stress by getting advices from my friends.
What are some of the methods to reduce stress that you are willing to try or maybe didn’t even know about?
I am willing to try watching television, playing computer games and listening to musics for forgetting about the stressors.
