Nothing Gold Can Stay
This poem shows that nothing can stay gold, or perfect. In the beginning of life all was perfect, but it is impossible to keep perfection, like trying to stop the sun rising, corruption destroys in the end. Noting can stay perfect foreveer. This poem is fairly pessimistic. It tells that perfection,or gold, is a form that nothing can truly hold forever. But their is one pinprick of light in the void of darkness. This poem tells that perfection is attainable, the poet obviously believed this.
