Leonardo di ser Piero da Vinci

Leonardo di ser Piero da Vinci was born on April 15, 1452 in Tuscan hill town of Vinci, in the lower valley of the Arno River in the territory of Florence, and died at Clos Lucé, on May 2, 1519. He was an Italian polymath,  scientist,  mathematician,  engineer,  inventor,  anatomist,  painter, sculptorarchitect,  botanistmusician and writer. Some of his famous paintings are:

The Last Supper:The Last Supper is a 15th centurymural painting in Milan created by Leonardo da Vinci for his patron DukeLudovico Sforza and his duchess Beatrice d’Este. It represents the scene of The Last Supper from the final days of Jesus as narrated in the Gospel of John13:21, when Jesus announces that one of his Twelve Apostles would betray him.

The Mona Lisa (or the La Gioconda, which means the laughing one,):Mona Lisa (also known as La Gioconda) is a 16th century portrait painted in oil on a poplarpanel by Leonardo da Vinci during the Italian Renaissance. The work is owned by theGovernment of France and is on the wall in the Louvre in ParisFrance with the title Portrait ofLisa Gherardini, wife of Francesco del Giocondo. It is perhaps the most famous and iconic painting in the world.
